360-degree scene layout
- Scene layout refers to the general organization of the 3D world. How big things are, where they are, and how they relate to one another. Before going into scene layout, I just wanted to mention that I've slightly stripped down the Maya user interface in order to declutter it for teaching and for the screen capture. I've hidden quite a number of the user interface elements. If we go into the main menus to Windows, UI elements, you can see that I've turned off quite a number of those UI elements. I've also hidden the so-called panel toolbar which is the toolbar that appears within each viewport. One way to hide or show that panel toolbar is with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+M. Okay, I'll hide that once again. Let's talk about the first type of environment layout which is a 360 degree layout in the round. And that's what we have here.
