Adjusting roughness
- [Instructor] In this exercise, we'll get the roughness modulating slightly for our tile. We'll take a look at our reference, and see what we need to do in here. Right now, we've got a base material, and it's exactly even in metallic and roughness properties. Here in the visualizer, we can see that we've got some fracturing in the reflection particularly of the chairs in that material. Although it's laid as flat as possible and, in this case, is probably laid over a poured concrete floor, which is pretty flat, we need a little variety. There's just a slight variance across this. Although the color really varies, we need a touch of variance in each tile just a little bit, so it's not exactly perfect. It's not a question of making them overly rough as if they were planks of wood. More so, it can't be computer perfect. We have to put a little variety in. We can also see in here, we've got some blurring in the reflection. It definitely blurs as it gets farther away, and it's got a little…
