Animate objects along spline paths
- [Instructor] Another way to animate objects is to move them along a path. So here I have an object, our little rocket ship, and a path, which is a spline path and this is one great way to use spline curves. Now we can attach that object to the path by going into constrain, motion paths, attached to motion path. So I need to select the object and then the path. So the order of selection is important and then do constrain, attach to motion path. Now let's take a look at the options for that. So what time range do we want? Do we want the range on the time slider or do we want to specify the specific range that this is going to animate along? Let's just leave it at the default time slider. And then what is the front axis and what is the up axis? So the front axis is the axis along which the object moves or where it's pointed. The up axis is really the top of the object.
