Animating walks on beats

- [Speaker] Let's take a look at the idea of animating on beats. Because sometimes you might hear people talk about animating an action on fours or sixes, or eights. Let's see how this applies to walks. Here's a nice attitude walk. As you can see, he's doing some funny action here where he's breaking his leg. But, the basic thing to watch out for here is that he's walking on 12s. In other words, the contact pose is on frame one, and the next one is on 13, 12 frames later. So, we speak about this as being on 12s. Here's another example. It's a walk cycle with a mummy. In this case, the mummy is walking very slowly. This is a real attitude walk. It's like a creepy walk. Look at number 33. That's a contact pose. See how the next contact appears on 57. We go from contact, to contact, to contact. So, 33, 57, 81... That's every 24 frames.
