- [Instructor] There are many times when you'll need to apply multiple materials to an object. So let's take a look at how to do that. I have a simple donut here, and in order for this to look like a donut we need to apply some materials to make it pop. Now, I already have some materials in my scene. If I open up my hypergraph, you'll see I have a couple of different materials. I have a cake material, chocolate as well as several different colors of sprinkles. And we're going to apply all of these to this donut. Now we do this by applying on a face by face basis. Now, if I were to actually just right click and assign a material, say I assign the cake material to this, It'll just assign it to everything on the object. Now I want to do this on a basically on a face by face basis. So if I select this whole thing, let's go ahead and work with the icing on the donut.
