Aspect ratios
- [Instructor] Another technical aspect that it's well worth being aware of, and you don't have to be super worried about this into the nuts and bolts and the crazy decimal points that go to the square root of pi. But it's good to have a general idea of the different aspect ratios and which aspect ratio your project is going to be created in and which ratio it's going to live in. So when I say what ratio it's going to live in, I mean the screen size. So for example, back in the late 1980s, many of us were working on feature films that we created to be seen on a big screen but we were realistic and we knew that the vast majority of the audience was going to watch them on the TV. And the TVs of that time had the academy ratio of 4:3. Now, I'm not going to get into a huge historical dissertation on this.
