Attitude poses

- [Instructor] The cornerstone of an acting scene is the attitude pose. On the left side you see a zero pose, this is like the pose from a model sheet. It has no attitude, no emotion. On the right we have an attitude pose, he's deep in thought, he's already on his way to doing something interesting. So your first job is to get out of the habit of drawing zero poses. They're fine when you're designing a character, they're not fine when you're acting. What is the character doing? What are they thinking? What are they feeling? Here are some good attitude poses. The top row, they're basically gesture drawings. Very quickly drawn, but they all capture attitude. The bottom row, are also attitude poses, but just a little more tied down so you can see more internal detail of the character.
