Boiling a line

- [Narrator] This is a simple animation of a bouncing ball in Adobe Animate CC, the kind of thing you've seen many times. Sometimes you might want a cartoon-ier effect, something that looks like it was hand drawn, frame by frame. And this is called a boil. This is when you do multiple drawings for each line. Now this is obviously digital. So I used a wiggle line fill for this. Let me just go into the boil layer here. And the line tool itself, you can make it solid, or you can make it wiggly. So in this case I made the line wiggly, I made some alterations so that it would jitter. And I'm not going to go into the mechanics of that here, but that essentially is a line boil. Now you may be working with software that makes this easy or tricky. It's kind of tricky in Animate CC, but it really applies to hand drawn animation. And that's what I want to show you now.
