Capes: Basics

- In this movie we'll apply drag to a simple piece of clothing. In this case a cape. The torso I'm going to represent with a simple kidney bean shape. We'll have a long cape hanging, draped from the shoulders. The numbers below represent the key frames. Just so you know my key frame numbers are on the 24 frames per second timing, if you're on 30 you might want to adjust your numbers accordingly, and that goes for all my courses. So this image overlays the capes so you can see the distance being traveled by the torso. As you can see it's not a lot. I've color-coded the different layers, or different drawings so it's slightly easier to interpret the different frames. As you can see if you look at the black, this line here, that's where the first kidney bean, the first chest frame begins. And 44, this orange one is the end, so we're traveling a distance little less than the distance of the chest area itself. It's not much. So here is the finished animation.
