- [Instructor] Let's take a look at construction, the way that we build an animated character, whether they're realistic or cartoony, using fundamental principles. Now, this is an example of an image from my drawing course, Animation Foundations: Drawing Cartoon Characters. I'm going to use a lot of material from that course in this movie to give you an idea of how we construct a character. So, as you can imagine, you've seen this kind of thing before, Marvel uses the same technique for realistic characters, we also use it for cartoony ones, we use primitive objects like cylinders, bean shapes, spheres, cubes, and then we use these to build a more complex character on top of. That allow us to keep the dimensionality accurate. So here we have a box and there's nothing stopping us then from rotating this box or torquing it.
