Create hierarchies

- [Instructor] When you want to keep scenes organized in Maya, you'll want to use hierarchies. Now hierarchies are ways of grouping and arranging objects so that they're connected together. Now, for example, I've got this tray of donuts and I'd like to be able to select the tray and move it and have the donuts move with it. Well, a hierarchy is perfect for that application. So, we can do this in the outliner. So if I go into Windows, Outliner, I can bring this up. Now, in this case, we have everything just flat in the scene. So we have each donut is one object, and the tray itself is a separate object, and they're not connected together at all. Now if I want to create a hierarchy, all I have to do is middle click and drag. So if I were to select this object, donut one, and middle click, notice how I can either rearrange it or make a hierarchy.
