- [Instructor] Now that we have the textures mapped to our logs we can start to create the material. Now I'm going to open up my render settings window. And let's go ahead and start an IPR so we can start to see the results of this. And you can see that even with the default values, this actually looks pretty good, so a good texture can go a very long way towards creating a great-looking material. But we can go even further. So let's go into our material. And the first thing I want to do is just dial up the roughness. This is a very rough material so I really don't need to have that roughness. We also want to turn the glossiness all the way down. Now the main thing with this particular material is the bumpiness and the roughness of the grain. And so, actually I'm going to close this for a second. And let's scroll down here until we get to Bump Map. So I'm going to place a bitmap into that bump channel.
