Creating a base material

- [Instructor] In this exercise, we'll get a base material going for our umbra veil tile, and get a backing color behind the tile to cover any gaps. We'll also add some of the graininess in that's found in the original pattern. First, I'll get a base material. I'll zoom in on the end blend. Right now, you can see I've opened the graph, There's also nothing selected or showing in that 2D View. I'll double click on that blend, and we can see I've got some small gaps here from the odd math in getting the 12 by 18 to work in a 2K square image. hitting the spacebar and typing UNI, and then, eye drop bring from that blend. This uniform color will then become the background in a blend. So, with it selected, I'll add in a blend note. I'll pipe in that tile, and we've got those gaps masked. If you find you see the lines too much, you can always change this uniform color. For now, it looks okay though. Now, what I'll do is get a base material in, hitting the spacebar and typing in base.
