Creating a new Material

- [Instructor] To take a look at how we can use an Unreal material to our advantage inside a realtime project, let's in this video, even though we already have a master metal material, set about creating a new one from scratch. To begin with then, we will want to make sure that we are well organized as this will help tremendously as our project grows. And so inside the base metal folder in the content browser, ignoring, as we say, the existing metal material, let's right click and from the list that appears select the material option from the create basic asset section. Let's name it new_metal and then press the enter or return key. If we double-click to open up the material for editing, we can click and drag on its header and then place it wherever we like inside the Unreal EUI. In this instance, I'm just going to make it so that I can still see some of my 3D view and content browser at the same time so as to make switching between the material and Unreal editors that little bit…
