- [Narrator] I want to show you more examples of accents and different ways in which you can interpret lines, or in this case, in different ways that you can read lines. So the same line of dialog could be read by the actor in two different ways. You could be, if you're directing a voice talent, you might want them to put the accent on a particular syllable. Let me play you this simple line, I'm mad as hell, two different reads that I've done with slightly different accents. First, I'm mad as hell. I'm mad as hell. So when we play the accents and with my interpretation here, I'm mad as hell. And then the second read is, I'm mad as hell. So the major accent or stress is on the D sound on the first pass, and on the L sound on the second pass. So, accents could be a vertical or descending accent. You could go mad, you know and it could be downward or it could be upward, but mostly the accents are vertical. You know, somebody is passionate, and you there will be on the ooH sound. That's…
