Downloading the Substance plugin

- [Instructor] As we already mentioned at the start of the course, a powerful and efficient way of creating materials for use in Unreal visualizations is to use Substance files, these being small, fast-loading files containing procedural notes that mimic the surface and texture of a material. Before we can make use of them, however, we need to download and install the Substance plugin for Unreal. To do this, we will need in the Unreal launcher to select the Unreal Engine option on the left-hand side, whilst from the top of the UI, we will need to select the Marketplace tab. In the Search field, we can type the word substance, and then, click to perform a search for the plugin. From the list that appears, we can choose the Substance in Unreal Engine option, and then, either install it to an already downloaded and installed version of the engine, or we can jump into the Library tab and from inside the VAULT section, where we should see our newly added Substance plugin, we can click the…
