Duplicate objects

- [Instructor] If you ever need to duplicate or make copies of objects, Maya has a lot of tools that can help you. So let's take a look at duplication. Now, one way to duplicate is to simply copy and paste. So under the edit menu I can select an object and just do copy and do edit paste and notice how another object comes in but it comes in at exactly the same place. So we'll leave that selected and we can move that aside. And now we have a second object. Now, an easier way to do this is to simply use the duplicate command we have under edit duplicate and the hot key for that is control D and it's easier just to use that hot key so I can select an object hit control D I now have a duplicate of the object and I can move that wherever I want.
