- Quite a few years ago I was working in an animation studio where some really bad advice was given. And this is the advice " Do your hard scenes first". So basically the animators will be given a bunch of scenes to do for the week. And the advice was do the difficult one when you start and then need the easy ones til the end. Worst advice ever. I kind of bit my tongue coz I was the new guy. It really kind of upset me to hear people, giving this potentially backfiring advice. So why is this not good? Well, essentially you are one person in a pipeline and I've drawn this diagram to show different people that might follow you in a pipeline. Cling up if you're working in a traditional studio, could be a different person if you're working in a CGI or a puppet system, but in any event the chances that you're the last person in the pipeline, not very high someone's going to need your scene to work on, to composite it to…
