- [Instructor] I want to take another look at Arcs and plotting Arcs, because this is kind of a special case when you do like a front on walk cycle. You want a walk cycle to be Symmetrical, has to look the same left and right or it will have a limping quality to it. This is again from a previous course I did on walk cycles. So let's just plot the point of the front arm, and we'll just map it through. As we go from key to key you can see we have a really beautiful loop, and this is called a figure eight. It is obviously not a perfect number eight but you get the idea, the thing crosses over itself and you can move in feature style animation through series of these looping figure eights and you're almost spinning them through 3d space that's how you think about it. So that is the famous figure eight loop and you should be trying to create these if you want to get really nice smooth animation, it's one of the techniques that we would use to get that really rich 1930's, 1940's feature…
