Group objects

- [Narrator] There are times when you want to create a hierarchy but not have any one object as the parent. A good example of this would be this particular scene. So if I go into Windows, Outliner you'll see that we have a lot of objects that are kind of equal importance. So for example, these buildings they're all kind of at the same level. So right now I don't have them in a hierarchy, but I don't want any one building to be the parent of another. I just want them all grouped together. Well we can do that using what's called a group. So all I have to do is select those objects. So I'm going to go ahead and shift select building one through eight. And then under edit, I have group. And when I do this, watch what happens in the Outliner. It collapses this to a group, and that group now contains all of those objects. Now the group itself is what's called an empty node.
