- [Narrator] Now we're going to speed things up slightly and move the horse from a walk into a trot. And the big thing to notice for a trot for a horse is that the hips and the shoulders now are moving up and down at the same time. So here's the trot again, this time across the screen so you can get a, I think a more realistic feel for what it's going to look like. And it certainly has a trot feel to it. So the timing of a trot is faster, as you would expect. It's animated on eights, meaning that the contacts repeat every eight frames. So, the first contact is on number one, add eight, that's nine, that's the next contact, another eight frames is 17, that completes the cycle. And again, these are 24 frame per second numbers, so if you're working on 30 frames per second you have to adjust accordingly. Now, notice also that the same rule applies as with the walk, the front leg lifts around the same time as the back leg is beginning to arrive onto the ground. However, you should also…
