Invoicing

- Invoices are wonderful because they lead to money. (upbeat music) So you want to submit your invoice right away. The sooner you invoice, the sooner you get paid, and unfortunately a lot of freelancers can take weeks to submit their invoice, and that's just never a good idea. So when you do submit your invoice, make sure that all your overages and charges are accounted for, and make sure that you only bill for the overages that were agreed to during production because you never want to surprise a client with an unexpected bill. During production, if there is any change requests that goes beyond the scope of what you had originally agreed to or what you were contracted to do, let the client know the additional cost before you agree to do it or even begin any changes, and make sure that that agreement is in writing in case anyone questions it later on, and even if it's just in an email, just get something as proof, and again it just keeps communication open, hugely important.
