Looney Toons: Intro

- [Instructor] In this series of movies I want to show you how you would begin to approach animating in the style of the 1940s through the late 1950s. We associate with the Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, some of the Disney shorts, Woody Woodpecker and so on. So to give you an idea of some of these characters, we have all the Wikipedia as a great resource, as is YouTube if you're ever looking for a reference for any of these. Not to forget Woody Woodpecker, another one of the characters from the period, very much in the similar style, very wacky, very zany. And an example, if you're looking for a reason like why do I need to know or even think about the necessity of knowing how to do this. One, it's fun. Second there's a vitality to the work of this period that I think we're losing quickly. And also sometimes in your career you might have to do it.
