- [Instructor] Let's take a look at one more thing with UV editing and that's understanding the scale of the texture itself. Now when you create UV maps, you want to make sure that the same material and the same image is textured at the same scale throughout the scene. So here I have a simple kind of a T-shape metal object but if I zoom in a little bit, you'll see that parts of this object are textured at a different scale so down here towards the bottom is kind of a finer grain. Up here, it's kind of more blotchy and it's not nearly as fine. And so this doesn't really look exactly the way that it should. So we could fix this in the UV editor. So select the object, go into windows, modeling editors, UV editor and let's take a look at this. Now as you can see, we've got a bunch of different shells.
