- [Instructor] Let's begin to model this logo. Our goal is to create a 3D representation of the 2D logo. Now, if we just press Command + R or come over to here and just render the viewport you can see that splines don't render by default. They need geometry, so I'll just click off and what we need to do is use a generator object. A generator, these are the ones in green, they need a child object to act upon. So what we're going to use is the extrude object and you can see by the icon that it's going to give depth to an object that's underneath it. So what we'll do is we will come over to the L, hold down Alt and then we'll come back to this menu here, this panel, palliative objects and we can then click the Extrude and automatically the L becomes a child of the extrude object, and you can see if we press Command + R that the L has some depth to it. So that's because we have some movement here in the z axis. Now this can look good, this is fine, we can increase and decrease this value…
