Modify curves
- [Instructor] When you work with curves there will be times when you'll need to modify them. And Maya has a bunch of tools for modifying curves. You can find it under the modeling toolkit, under curves and you can see we have all sorts of tools that allow you to modify curves. Now I'm going to show you some of the more important tools. Now, the first one is the ability to cut curves. So if I have this curve for example and I wanted to break it into pieces, I can do that by right clicking, going into curve point and setting a curve point. Now that curve point determines a point of action, remember that. So the point of action in this case is we're going to break this into two pieces. We're going to go into curves and select detach. And when we do that, notice how the curve changes. I have this curve which is the bottom half and now I have this curve, which is the top half. So now I've broken that into two pieces.…
