- [Aaron] In this course, we've seen an overview of the tools and techniques of natural environment modeling in Maya. As always, there's more to learn. We didn't have much time to discuss lighting, but I did cover the essentials of exterior day lighting in another course, Maya: Rendering with Arnold 6. Even if you're using another renderer, the concepts of sky dome and directional lighting will still be relevant. That Arnold course also covers the very important techniques of displacement and render time subdivision which are essential for many photorealistic landscapes. In the exercise files for this course, I also employed a few shading techniques that we didn't have time to fully explore. But again, I covered those tools and processes in other courses.
