- When going over a scene like the one we're seeing here, the exercise you need to go through is to ask yourself "What are the lights "where shadows won't be impacted by moving characters "or changes into the scene?" For our project, we're lucky enough that we won't have any dynamic objects except a fire we'll add later on in the fireplace right here. So let's take a look at the first step for baking our lights, and what needs to be done at the object level. And you'll see it's very simple. So for objects themself, the only thing you need to do in order to bake lights into your objects is to turn the Static setting on. And for all the objects in your scene, or for all the ones that are not going to receive dynamic lighting from moving objects. So for example, all our objects in our scene could be turned into static except this area here, because we're going to have a fire, and the fire is going to move, and we…
