Particles: Instancing, part 1

- [Instructor] So we've got our iPad controller's XY Pad moving our ball around on screen. If I hit F1, let me move this around. Excellent, that's everything we just did in the last video that's working, and what we're going to do now is we're going to build a particle system that's driven by that same movement as we work towards getting this particle trail. And in this particular video, and for the next couple of videos, we're going to look at building geometry-based particles that we're going to instance other geometry onto. And then a little bit later, we're going to look at a GPU particle system that comes with TouchDesigner that allows us to do a higher particle count of just doing sprite based particle animation. So you can see, now we've made a particle container for you, and it's just a basic container, there's nothing special about it, we just called it Particles, and inside is this same little CHOP chain that's bringing in our X and Y data to a Transform SOP, and this time…
