Reversing the line of action

- [Instructor] This scene has a really nice action even though it's only two key frames with a bunch of in-betweens. So let's take a look at what gives it that nice sense of flexibility. So we're using two techniques of animation here. We're using line of action and reversal, and they kind of travel together a lot of the time. So we have our basic start post pointing down or looking down, and then he looks up. So the first key is this one, and this is a reverse C curve that the character post was built around. And as we move through the animation and stop, we have the other C. So it goes from a reverse C to a C-shape. And we can use S curves and different variants of that, but in general, a C curve or an S curve are the basic line of action shapes that you want to work with. Something very clean, very simple, very strong. That's it. By moving from one to the other, we create these nice snaps from one shape to another shape.
