Rotate and scale
- [Instructor] Rotate and scale are the other two manipulation tools that we can use in Maya. Now as we've said before, the hotkey for rotation is the letter E and the hotkey for scale is the letter R. So we're going to go ahead and select the rotate tool and select an object. Now when I select an object, you'll see that this gizmo comes up which is very different from the move gizmo. This has the three axes as circles and then it has a kind of a cyan-colored circle around the outside. Now this is pretty straightforward. If you want to rotate along a specific axis, you just highlight that circle. So in this case, the red or the x-axis and I can rotate along that axis. If I rotate along the blue axis, that's z and then if you can see it, it's almost the same size as the donut here but the y-axis is the vertical axis. Now we also have this cyan axis around the outside and that will rotate around whatever angle the camera…
