- [Instructor] Run cycles can be intimidating because you've got these four legs careening through apparently complex series of overlapping motions, and of course, that's why Muybridge was hired by the crazy rich guy to find out whether or not all the legs were off the ground at the same time. So let's see how we can break down this four-legged run into a much simpler approach that will allow you the cleanest process possible. So in this example, we're seeing a very simple and stylized, but functional, gallop or a run cycle in place. Now this is on 12s, meaning that the cycle is completed after 12 frames. So frame one is the first contact, and frame 13, 12 frames later, is the second, and that's the complete cycle. Now when I say 12, that's a 24 frame per second 12, so if you're working on 30 frames per second, it's going to be every 15 frames.
