Shading a skybox
- [Instructor] In the last movie we created a skybox and we did an initial pass at the UV layout and it's mostly what we want. But if we orbit or tumble around with Alt + left mouse button, in that perspective view, you will see that one of the faces is turned upside down. That happens to be the back face of the cube or the one that's facing in the negative Z direction. So let's fix that using the UV editor. Select the cube object and then right click and go into Face Selection mode, select that back face, and in the modeling menu set, choose UV, UV editor and then we've selected that UV face we just want to rotate it 180 degrees. One way to do that is with a rotate tool activated with the keyboard shortcut, which is E and we want to rotate in increments or snap rotate.
