Shoulders move off of body - Character Animator Tutorial
From the course: Using Character Animator in Production
Shoulders move off of body
- Depending on how you build your puppet, you may find that your shoulders slide off the body as you move, like you see this character here. Luckily there's an easy fix. (lively music) when I first created my Grunt character here, my shoulders would slide off the body as I moved like this, especially with the breathing attached to it. You see how it doesn't look like it's attached? Let me show you how easy this is to fix. I'm going to go to my Rig tab. I'm going to make sure that Body is selected. I'm going to grab my stick tool here. I'm going to drag a stick from point of the shoulder to point of the shoulder. That acts as a stiffener. I'm going to go back to Record. And there it is. The shoulder, I still have my breathing going, and my shoulder is now attached and not sliding off of the body, as I'm working. Sticks can be used for more than just arm and leg bones. They can be powerful tools in rigging your puppet. (lively music)
