Silhouette, line of action, and reversal
- [Instructor] Another important principle or three actually are silhouette, line of action and reversal. So first is the silhouette. A strong silhouette isn't just something that you do in comic book drawings or static images, they are something that you do on every key drawing of your scene. If you do a weak silhouette on a key frame here, and another one that's weak here, all of the in-betweens between them will be weak and ditto for the entire timeline. Weak silhouette, weak silhouette guess what? The in-betweens only get worse. They don't magically get better. So you can end up with some really dodgy stuff right in there if your keys aren't strong. So we look at each key frame. Can you see what he's doing? I'm not talking about where he's looking more or less, but just what's this guy doing? He's standing. He's roughly looking here. No big deal. Here same thing. Here, he seems to be scrunched, potential…
