Squashing bodies for animal runs

- [Instructor] The principle of squash and stretch is very familiar if you've done the bouncing ball and a lot of animation. But it can also be very useful for things like run cycles for animals because think of the entire body mass as squashing and stretching or expanding and compressing as we work our way through the cycle. And of course this is a really extreme cartoon-y graphical version of it, but it clearly works. It's a fairly enough convincing animation. And here's the very same animation tracked across the screen. So that's two key frames squashing and stretching. That's it. There really are very few other keys in there. It's just those two frames. So if you feel like a four legged run is beyond you, you might want to think again and just try one of these very simple graphical runs and see what you can get out of it.
