- [Instructor] One of the first things we have to deal with with a scene is the staging of the animation. That is where is the camera relative to the character and where's the character relative to the background. The staging of the animation is usually determined during the storyboard process. So by the time an animator is given the scene, it's usually been fixed for them. Now that said, if you do have control over the staging of a scene, if you're the director, if you're also doing the storyboards, or if you're working on a personal project, you have to be sure that you're choosing the shot correctly. You don't want to use a down shot or an up shot where a simple straight on eye-level view is the best. Or vice versa. So in this example, we're going to go with a standard eye-level camera view.
