Storyboard

- You would never build a house without plans. So don't try to create an animation without storyboards. (upbeat music) There are two different ways I tend to storyboard realtime animation projects. One, draw a normal storyboard based on the script and try to limit the movements to a low number of moves while keeping in mind, what can be quickly built for character animator puppets. And once you draw a storyboard, break it down into the various moves such as those that can be animated with draggers or the ability to drag and move a character's limb. And make a list of animated cycles like the in-betweens when I move my head side to side like this. And a list of trigger-driven movements, like when I hit the D key, this happens. My head jumps to the left just hitting the D. If I hit the F, it goes towards camera right. Include lists of movements like bending limbs, walk cycles, talkings, certain gestures and moves.
