Strobing
- [Instructor] I want to talk pretty briefly about strobing. It's a problem that arises on pan scenes when you're moving a character against a panning background, and you're moving at different frame rates. This will probably not be a problem to those of you working with puppet systems or CGI software. But if you are hand drawing your figures, then this could be a big issue for you. So first, let's look at a scene that's working perfectly, and this is a scene where the character is moving at 24 frames per second and the background is also. It looks really nice. Everything is fine with the world. His feet contact the ground, and they stay there. Now I'm going to show you a strobe. Now this scene is strobing, and here you can really see it if I go frame by frame.
