- [Instructor] In previous movies, I've shown you design elements, straights against curves and so on. In this case, I want to show you a typical character in the standard Disney, Bluth, CalArts style and how we can maybe treat this character differently so we can get beyond that or do something different. So in the middle, you can see more realistic version with a lot more detail. On the right, a very stylized version with very little detail. If they go to color, you can really see the difference. And add a bit of color and lighting too, like shades and darks on the central character, and absolutely a different style. Same basic design, but a very different look. So the thing that'll stand out clearly when you look at this is it's the detail. There's a lot more pencil mileage on the central character, there's a lot less on the stylized one on the right.
