- [Instructor] Timing and spacing are two different things, so it's good to think of timing as the numbers that you assign to the keyframes, where the keyframes happen on the timeline. The spacing is the ease-in and east-out to and from those keys. And here you can see six different examples of spacing differences. Now of course, you can space the keys differently, so I could, for example, have spaced the ball at this side of the screen, and moved it to this side of the screen, but in general I think it's useful to think about the timing as the numbers that appear on the timeline and the spacing as the ease-ins, the ease-outs, or not, and the different ways we can ease in and east out from one key to the next key. So here's the same animations, and this time with the multiple images of the between so you can see the complete effect. So, the timing is the same on all of these, the spacing is different.
