Tremor

- [Instructor] One thing that it's nice to know how to do is how to create these little shudders, like this little magic carpet is walking into a huge wind, leaning into it. This could also, if it was slower, be like an old person walking with a palsy or a tremor. And I used to wonder when I was beginning in animation, how on earth do people do these? Because how do you deliberately put wiggles (laughs) into all these drawings? And as it turned out, it's a simple trick. So essentially it's an example of a stagger pattern. You're probably familiar with the simple pattern where we do a slow in. An object moves from position A to position B over, say, 12 frames, and then we expose the frames out of sequence. One, two, three, two, three, four, three, four, five, four, five, six. So we go three forward, two back, three forward, two back, and that creates that spring (imitates spring reverberating) effect.
