- [Instructor] When you apply textures to an object, you may need to map those textures to the object specifically and we can do that in a number of different ways. Now this technique is called UV mapping and there are various levels of complexity. So I'm going to show you some of the simplest ways to do UV mapping. Find this under modeling, UV, and you see we have a number of options here. So I have this basic box and let's go ahead and create a material with a texture, a bitmap texture. So I'm going to create a simple lambert material and in the color channel, I'm going to select a file and that file, I'm going to select DonutMobile_SIDE.jpg. Okay, and that's basically the side of the donut truck we were working with. And this is kind of a nice graphic so we can kind of see how this gets placed. We're going to go ahead and open that. And as you can see, it does place it on the object but not in any logical manner. So…
