Use Arnold area lights
- [Instructor] In addition to the standard Maya lights, we also have Arnold specific lights. So we can find these under the Arnold menu, under Lights. And you can see, we have a whole bunch of different lights here, and these are all Arnold specific. So let's go ahead and start off by creating an area light. Now, when I do that, the area light comes in. I may have to scale it up just to see it a little bit better. And the area light actually has-- It's kind of like a soft box. So it's a rectangular shaped light and it also has a direction. So you can see this little pointer here, right there, and that shows us where the light is pointing. So let's go ahead and look at this in Arnold since it is an Arnold specific light. Let's go ahead and turn that on, start rendering, and we're going to have to play a little bit with our intensity and exposure.
