Use Character Animator as your Skype avatar

- How cool would it be to have your Skype avatar be an animated character? Well it's very cool and we can do it. So let's check out how. (upbeat music) In order to have your avatar on Skype you need to have your NewTek NDI plugin installed which is a free download and we talked about that in one of the earlier videos and you should have something like Wirecast. We described how to download and use Wirecast in earlier videos as well so check those out. So the first thing you're going to want to do is start up character animator and set it up and for Skype you're generally going to want to be closer to the face of your character rather than a full body. Because the Skype image is usually a bit smaller. Then we're going to want to set up your output. So let's go to edit preferences and go to live output and select Enable Mercury Transmit and make sure your NewTek NDI output is selected. This allows your system to send the signal from Adobe to other programs like Skype. Click okay…
