Work with the Time Editor
- [Instructor] We can also use Maya's Time Editor to create and manipulate animation. Now the Time Editor uses animation clips, which are basically a level above key framing. So it allows you to work at a higher level and also get work done a little bit more quickly. Now the time editor can be found under windows, animation editors, time editor and this shares basically the same window as the graph editor and the dope sheet. So if I hit this button here, it goes to the graph editor. And if I hit the little watch icon, it gets back to the time editor. Now, the time editor works on what's called animation clips, and those are basically encapsulated key frames that we can move around. So here we have a run. So if I click on blue run, you'll see we have a bunch of key frames here on the timeline. If I click on blue walk, these are the key frames for the walk.
