- [Instructor] So here are all of the actions that we would need for a basic side-scrolling platform kind of game, let's take a look at the first one that's the idle pose, sometimes called a zero pose. So I'm going to zoom in on him. And just, let's go right into the animation. Now please ignore the software that I'm using, I don't know that if you're working in CGI, hand-drawing this, I want this to be a universal principle approach to how you animate figures for these kind of games rather than focusing on one piece of software. So let's take a look at the animation, and it's fairly broad for a simple standing in place breathing cycle, there's a little bit of overlap on the hands, I will very quickly show you the timeline, and you will see we have frame one, and we have the end of the cycle on frame 30, most of the action is up down and I have simply offset some of the arms and the hands, so we have a slight overlap…
