- [Instructor] An extreme challenge when you animate natural effects, especially by hand, is the curation of natural churning, the kind of thing that you see in clouds and waves. This was my first real attempt to create a full effects explosion, a feature quality animation, the kind of thing that you see when an A bomb or a volcano explodes. And you can see more of this in my course on the 21 foundations of animation which is also in the library. So let's take a closer look at the strong way and the weaker way to approach these kind of actions. Now do remember that we can think of these kind of shapes as a series of spheres or orbs, and they're not solid masses as such, they emerge out of cloud and they come back into the cloud. So they're going to come out of this great mass, grow a bit, do their thing and then be absorbed back into it to be replaced by another orb of cloud, and they're all roiling around. So if we color…
