Setting up an injection-molding machine

To set up an injection molding machine, we need to make sure we have the mold clean and in good shape and ready to run. Mold protectant, a lot of times, has been added to molds in storage to keep crust and dust off the molds. We need to remove this and get it ready to be put in the machine. The next thing is going to be picking up the mold with either a crane or a forklift and then taking it over and loading it into the machine. Once we have it in the machine, we need to bolt it in. And then hook up any cooling lines or other attachments to get the mold so it's set up and ready to run. The next process is going to be aligning all the components and doing a test run of the machine. After the job's complete, we need to take that same tool back out of the machine, clean up the mold, add any type of mold protectant to it, and then store the mold, so it's ready for its next run.
