Shape checking with 2D prototyping

Once you have a 2D pattern, we can then use this as a prototype to check the look, size, and feel for our product plus make sure all the holes line up and verify the design. I have a 2D pattern for this laptop table and I want to check to make sure the holes line up with the base. You can see here I've got four sheets of paper here we have taped together, and this paper has been taped down to a piece of cardboard. I've got some screws that I've placed in here and I'll just go and just flip that over. And here is the bracket that's going to attach here. I want to make sure those holes all line up where they should and they, and they do which is great. This is the final project that we have cut out of aluminium. You can see, it has got those holes and this is a great 2D prototyping process for this part. Now, the piece that attaches with that is this bracket here. And here is the 2D pattern that we printed out for this as well. And you can see if I place it right on top of each other…
